We are finally done with the bye weeks and the fantasy playoffs have arrived (unless you’re in shallower leagues that don’t have a first-round bye). The waiver wire will mostly be an afterthought from here on out, as owners should be riding the top starters that got them to this point.
Fantasy football waiver wire: 5 wide receivers to target for Week 14
The bye weeks are over and we’re entering the stretch run of the season.

That being said, some owners aren’t quite lucky and might still have to use the wire to fill out their rosters. The players on this list are either short-term streaming options, or potential 2017 contributors if you play in a keeper or dynasty league. With that in mind, here are the top waiver options at wide receiver, owned in less than 50 percent of Yahoo! standard leagues.
Corey Coleman, Cleveland Browns (46 percent)
Coleman hasn’t been terribly productive since coming back from a hand injury, but that’s through no fault of his own with the Browns’ train-wreck situation at quarterback. However, there’s a real shot Robert Griffin III comes back this week, and if he plays even semi-competently then Coleman could get on the WR3 radar against the Cincinnati Bengals’ middling defense. He’s still a risky proposition in 12-team leagues, though.
Taylor Gabriel, Atlanta Falcons (38 percent)
Gabriel doesn’t see a lot of targets as a gadget-play dynamo, but as we’ve seen in highlight reels he’s capable of breaking off a huge play at any given moment. With Julio Jones dealing with turf toe, Gabriel might be asked to take on a bigger load as the Falcons try to hold on to their divisional lead. He’s a high-risk, high-reward option against the Los Angeles Rams.
Tyler Lockett, Seattle Seahawks (37 percent)
Lockett’s been a disappointment this year, but he probably had his best game on Sunday, racking up 138 total yards and a touchdown on six touches against the Carolina Panthers. Lockett still doesn’t see as many targets as we were hoping he would, but his fantasy arrow is pointing up with the Seahawks facing the Green Bay Packers next week.
Pierre Garcon, Washington (32 percent)
With Jordan Reed injured and DeSean Jackson occupied by Patrick Peterson, Garcon went for seven catches and 78 yards against the Arizona Cardinals. That’s about the high end of what he’s been producing this year, which makes him a low-upside WR3 on his best days. That said, he’ll be in the starting conversation again if Reed misses another game. Washington gets the Philadelphia Eagles and their crumbling defense next.
Malcolm Mitchell, New England Patriots (29 percent)
Tom Brady is running out of weapons with Rob Gronkowski done for the year and Danny Amendola picking up a high-ankle sprain. Fortunately for him, Mitchell stepped up with eight catches for 82 yards. He’s been trending up in recent weeks and looks to be a key player as the Patriots fight for the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs. Mitchell is a quality starter against the Baltimore Ravens and could be an ace in the hole during the fantasy playoffs.
