Tyreek Hill start or sit: Week 2 fantasy football advice

The Miami Dolphins got off to an awful start in Week 1, as they lost to Daniel Jones and the Colts 33-8, with the eight points coming in garbage time. Tua Tagovailoa turned the ball over three times and threw for just 114 yards in a game anyone associated with the Dolphins would like to scrub from their gray matter.

With so few passing yards, it makes sense that no receiver topped 40 yards. And the receiver we’re looking at today is that 40 yard receiver, as Tyreek Hill caught 4-of-6 passes for 40 yards to lead the team. The question is, do we expect a similar game when the Patriots come to town in Week 2?

The good news for the Dolphins is that the Patriots gave up the fourth-most receiving yards and the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers in Week 1. They did get to Geno Smith for four sacks, but they had to blitz the second most of any team in Week 1 and they still were middling in pressure percentage. One of the key problems they had was the absence of corner Christian Gonzalez. Gonzalez is iffy for this week as well. If he can’t go, it is a major improvement for Hill’s matchup.

Below, we’ll go over Tyreek Hill’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 2.

Hill relies on his amazing speed and when that goes, his decline will likely be fairly steep, but at this point he is still the No. 1 receiver on a team that, in the past, has shown big offensive production. I would also expect the team to rally for their first home game of the year after getting embarrassed in Week 1.

Start. Hill is riskier than he once was in fantasy, but I’m not ready to toss him to the wayside in fantasy just yet. If he can’t produce it what appears to be a strong matchup in Week 2 of the season, we might have to start thinking of benching him.
