Josh Allen, Daniel Ricciardo set for the ‘adventure of a lifetime’

Daniel Ricciardo and Josh Allen remain the two best friends that anyone could have

Josh Allen and Daniel Ricciardo remain the two best friends that anyone could have.

We have covered that friendship over the years, from Ricciardo getting a chance to finally see Allen play in person, to Allen surprising Ricciardo during his live coverage of a Formula 1 race last year, to the two linking up in Las Vegas this past winter. The next stop in this friendship journey?

It apparently has something to do with ... horses?

Dubbed “The Legend of Ricallen,” an upcoming campaign for Beats by Dre sees these friends united for an upcoming short film starring the two athletes. A trailer for the upcoming short film was released on Monday, which you can see here in all its glory:

The relationship between the athletes and Beats by Dre make perfect sense, particularly when it comes to Ricciardo. The Formula 1 driver can often be seen at the track with a personalized pair of Beats on his person, as you can see here in this photo I captured moments before the start of the Miami Grand Prix back in May:

According to a press release for “The Legend of Ricallen,” “... a fateful FaceTime call between Josh and Daniel leads them to cement their friendship unlike any other celebrity BFFs. The tale leads the two to make a wildly impractical purchase, and before they know it, they’ve set off on the adventure of a lifetime.”

In addition to the release of the short film, there will be a tie-in at this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix, and “Legend of Ricallen” merchandise available as well.

Giddy-up.

Update: The entire short film was released on Wednesday, which you can view here:
