Tommy Fleetwood is not messing around.

Opening rounds of 63 and 64 have put the Englishman in a solid position to pick up his first career PGA Tour victory. Famous last words and all… but at the time of this writing Fleetwood has a four-stroke lead over the next-closest player as we turn to the weekend.

Tommy Fleetwood has been one of the most consistent players across the globe as far as the sport of golf is concerned for a long while now. He has come so close to winning on the PGA Tour several times, very infamously just a few weeks ago at the Travelers where he fell to Ryder Cup Captain Keegan Bradley, and it seems as if his game is putting him in a position to finally get the ball across the goal line in the first playoff event of the season.

While the playoff format on the PGA Tour comes under annual fire, winning one of these events would be huge for Tommy Fleetwood. This would have been the case at the Travelers as it was literally a signature event, the final one of this season, but perhaps it was always meant to be this way.

It should be a fun weekend to watch.
