2025 BMW Championship: Scottie Scheffler wins again because of course he did

Scottie Scheffler won again on Sunday in the least surprising news of all time.

Scottie Scheffler is your BMW Championship winner. Of course he is.

We are going to have to have a conversation sometime down the road as to 2024 was the year of Scottie Scheffler or if he managed to one-up it here in 2025. For the first three days of this tournament it seemed like Robert MacIntyre was going to win at Caves Valley, but Scottie tends to outlast everyone and alter all of those plans.

The BMW marked Scottie’s fifth win of the season (he had 7 last year, but he does have two major titles this year which feels like the difference-maker in this author’s opinion) and now officially has two seasons with five or more victories. Simply put, it is his world and we are all living in it.

Scottie has been outspoken, as have other PGA Tour players, about the FedExCup Playoffs and the format involved in them regarding whether or not the Tour Championship truly crowns the best player in a given season. That action will get underway next week at East Lake, but even if Scottie doesn’t lift the trophy it feels pretty absurd to suggest that anyone else was better on Tour in 2025.

Scottie Scheffler is one of one.
