Tiger Woods turns 50, officially eligible for Champions Tour

Happy Birthday, Tiger Woods.

The greatest of all time turned 50 years old on Tuesday and in the world of professional golf that is significant as Tiger is now eligible for the Champions Tour.

Nobody has any idea whether or not Tiger Woods will tee it up in a Champions Tour event, but it goes without saying that the world of golf would love to see him compete in any opportunity that he chooses to do so. Tiger has spoken about how the majors are where his focus is which makes complete sense, but a Tiger boost for the Champions Tour would be quite the thing to see.

Woods reaching the age of 50 feels notable for all who have followed his career for so long now. He has been one of the most visible faces in the world of professional sports for over half of his life and he has redefined the way our sports if viewed on a worldwide scale.
