With the National Championship in the rearview mirror and Super Bowl LX officially set, we have reached the part of the year where there is no longer football on our televisions on Monday nights. We had a good run.

Thankfully, TGL is here! On this particular Monday night Boston Common Golf squared off against The Bay Golf Club and did so during a big week for the PGA Tour what with Brooks Koepka returning and debuting at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

SINGLES

  • Hole 1 (Straight Up): A penalty for The Bay made it easy for Boston to get the win
  • Hole 2 (Bonnie Link): There was a penalty against Boston here which helped The Bay get their first point
  • Hole 3 (On The Rocks): The first tie of the evening
  • Hole 4 (Storrowed): Another tie
  • Hole 5 (Cenote): The Bay was penalized yet again and Boston capitalized once more
  • Hole 6 (Cut The Sails): There was no penalty, but Boston was in an advantageous position and threw a Hammer that was declined for the point
  • Hole 7 (Cliffhanger): This was a standard win for Boston
  • Hole 8 (The Plank): Another tie
  • Hole 9 (Bay Breaker): It was clear at this point when Boston won that The Bay was in for a long night

For the triples portion of the night countrymen Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry faced off while Michael Thorbjornsen took on Min Woo Lee. Keegan Bradley and Wyndham Clark served as the final duo.

TRIPLES

  • Hole 10 (Pick Yer Plunder): Rory McIlroy had a strong position and threw a Hammer that Shane Lowry declined which gave Boston yet another point
  • Hole 11 (Stinger): Yet another tie
  • Hole 12 (The Last Toll): Wyndham Clark was penalized early on which made it an easy win for Keegan Bradley and Boston
  • Hole 13 (Temple): This time it was Shane Lowry who was penalized which set Rory McIlroy up once more for a win
  • Hole 14 (Set In Stone): Michael Thorbjornsen took care of Min Woo Lee with ease for a win
  • Hole 15 (Quick Draw): A tie to close things out

All told it was an easy 9-1 win for Boston who is now 2-0 on the season which is pretty remarkable given how their inaugural flight within TGL went.
