The Breakfast Ball at the Super Bowl was an unreal experience

Friday was an incredible day in San Francisco.

The Breakfast Ball took place at TPC Harding Park, one of the greatest golf courses in the entire world, and Thomas’ made sure that it was a world-class event. I am here to say that they fully and totally did their job.

Golf fans know and love this track for its distinct memories. Collin Morikawa won his PGA Championship there in 2020, Tiger Woods had the iconic club twirl during the President’s Cup… this place is special and on Friday it hosted something worthy of its reputation in the Breakfast Ball.

People from all walks of life competed in the event and yours truly teed it up with some legends:

  • Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey
  • San Francisco 49ers reporter Grant Cohn
  • Gabby Golf Girl
  • Former NFL player Andrew Spencer

I’ve heard and read a lot about Harding Park, but standing in the tee boxes myself was a totally different experience. It helped to be in a group that kept things in front of us, par was our worst score all day, but it was like stepping into one of my all-time dreams in many respects.

Joe Montana and Jerry Rice served as the event’s hosts which makes sense given where it was and the event it was leading up to in Super Bowl LX. On the subject of the Super Bowl, Jerry made sure to re-tell the famous John Candy story to everyone involved before the shotgun start happened which set the mood in the way it needed to be.

All told there were superstars from every walk of life present and accounted for which added to the Super Bowl flare of what was happening. Thomas’ does not miss, unlike some of my putts, and proved that once again here.
