The PGA Tour is all in on trying to engage with its fans.

It was announced last week that PGA Tour Studios had partnered with NFL Films for a projected based around the Players Championship. The project is Chasing Sunday, a Hard Knocks-inspired series chronicling the action that Cam Young just came out on top of at TPC Sawgrass.

You can watch the trailer, which the PGA tour released on Sunday around lunchtime, below.

There will be specific highlighting in the series of Akshay Bhatia, Rickie Fowler, Si Woo Kim and Chris Gotterup. These are all PGA Tour winners and entertaining personalities in their own right, and all agreed to be mic’d up before and during competition before play began last week at Ponte Vedra.

“We’re excited to collaborate with the exceptional team at NFL Films on Chasing Sunday, and the buy-in of our stars during one of the biggest and most consequential weeks of their season shows how committed we all are to engaging current and future fans with new, creative storytelling formats like this,” said Andy Weitz, PGA TOUR Chief Marketing Officer. “This a great example of our increased focus on pairing the growing capabilities of PGA TOUR Studios with the power and expertise of production studios like NFL Films.”

Chasing Sunday will premiere Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on the PGA TOUR YouTube channel and PGATOUR.COM, with additional distribution support from NFL Films YouTube and social channels.

These are the types of things that really help make fans. NFL Films and their football movies gave birth to, and continue to do so, so many football fans with how they tell the story of different games. That same magic touch here can have an immense impact on golf.

Tuesday night should be fun.
