The first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament are in the books. Up next are the Sweet 16 and Elite 8.

As exciting as this is, and at the moment particularly sad for this Florida Gator, even more exciting is what it means in the grand scheme of the sporting calendar: The Masters is right around the corner.

In advance of the greatest weekend of the year ESPN is putting its audience in the mood. On Monday the worldwide leader released a 2026 version of “Georgia on My Mind” as sung by Thomas Rett.

It goes without saying that thsi is awesome in every conceivable way.

The video hits at everything we love about the Masters and ends with a slow-motion walk back off of Magnolia Lane. We are so close to walking down it.

Every year ESPN releases a winter promotion with Ray Charles’ iconic song that teases the Masters, so seeing this song in general is not exactly new.

What is new is this twist of Thomas Rett. Born in Georgia himself, Rhett’s recording session was also released by ESPN and he notes how this song always makes him think of the Masters (and the Georgia Bulldogs which is also gross from this Florida Gator).

We are almost there. Buckle up.
