It is a big week on the PGA Tour.

The Charles Schwab Challenge is center stage and it will be interesting to see who shows peak form with the U.S. Open lurking. While everybody wants to win this week for obvious reasons there is an extra bit of incentive as the Charles Schwab Challenge has become known for giving its victors a car… and these aren’t normal cars.

Consider what this week’s winner will receive. It is a fully restored 1982 Schwab Scrambler.

Here is what makes the vehicle so special:

  • Mopar 6: 4L / 485HP HEMI crate engine with a 4L80E four-speed Bowler automatic transition
  • Atlas II part time 4WD transfer case
  • Baer brakes front and rear / hydro boost assistance
  • Vigilante custom 6 lug wheels
  • One-of-a-kind Schwab badging on the car
  • Custom leather interior with Colonial royal tartan inserts

Simply put… this is sick. I am insanely jealous of whoever is going to walk (drive) away with it. Odds suggest it will be Ludvig Aberg, for what it’s worth.

As a firm, Schwab is committed to making a difference in Fort Worth, investing the company’s time, talents across teams, and financial resources to celebrate alongside Schwab’s communities. The Challenge is a vital signature event for Schwab and the community that generates over $18M annually in support of nearly 40 local charities throughout the DFW metroplex, reflecting Schwab’s continued commitment to Fort Worth.

Who do you think it will be?
