You’ll notice a few common denominators. Golf. The title of the game. And Tiger Woods.
Now here’s the cover of the 2012 version of the game:
Golf, check. Title of the game, check. Tiger Woods...???
I suppose technically that’s still Tiger is the distance facing away from us. Still, that’s kinda strange for a game that’s biggest selling point is its association with the man itself.
So, EA Sports President Peter Moore, should we read anything into the fact that Tiger’s not featured on the box art of that particular edition?

Got it.
To be fair, Woods shared the cover the previous year with Rory McIlroy. And EA says Woods will appear on the cover of the PS3 Collector’s Edition of the game. EA says they have no plans to move away from Tiger in branding the game, though you have to wonder how they’ll react if this version doesn’t move off the shelves as well as year’s past.
