When Tiger Woods returned to the golf world in 2010 after his injury-shorted 2009 season — and revelations about his chronic infidelity that eventually led to a divorce from Elin Nordegren — he did so without some of the endorsements that made Woods one of the world’s best-paid athletes. Woods lost deals with Gillette, AT&T, and Tag Heuer, among other brands, and lost an estimated $22 million in endorsement income as a result.
Tiger Woods Signs With Rolex, His First Major Endorsement In Two Years
Tiger Woods will return to the PGA Tour this week, and with his first new major endorsement in two years.

But now Tiger has a new deal, a major one: the Associated Press reports that Woods has agreed to endorse Rolex. While terms of the deal were not disclosed, it is being described as Woods’ first major new endorsement since 2009 and is expected to run more than five years.
Woods will play in this weekend’s Frys.com Open, his first PGA Tour event since he missed the cut at the 2011 PGA Championship. Woods hasn’t won a PGA Tour event since 2009, and his best finish in eight starts in 2011 is a tie for fourth at the 2011 Masters.
