Franklin Templeton Shootout 2011: TV Schedule, Tee Times For Friday

The 2011 Franklin Templeton Shootout begins Friday with Keegan Bradley and Webb Simpson among the stars.

Franklin Templeton Shootout, hosted by Greg Norman, begins on Friday at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Fla. featuring several big names, like 2011 PGA Championship winner Keegan Bradley, FedExCup runner-up Webb Simpson and noted vocalist Ricky Fowler. Below is the TV schedule and tee times for the first day of the event.

The format for the tournament consists of 12 two-man teams playing three rounds of alternate shot, better ball, and scramble. The event is quite fun, as you can see from this notebook item from the local News-Press.com:

In 2007, after hitting their approach shots to the 18th green in the final round, (Camilo) Villegas and then-teammate Chris DiMarco, both former University of Florida golfers, donned Tim Tebow jerseys that had been stashed in their golf bags and ran a short passing play in the fairway with a golf ball. The defending champions, Dustin Johnson and Ian Poulter, are not participating because Johnson is attending a friend’s wedding, while Poulter is playing in the European Tour’s event this weekend.
