The 2011 Players Championship has teed off Thursday morning, but the Golf Channel isn’t beginning its broadcast of the tournament until 1 p.m. ET. Luckily, the PGA Tour’s website is making the Players available to watch online.
Watch The Players Championship Online With The PGA’s Live Video Stream
The site is scheduled to stream video from TPC Sawgrass from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET on Thursday and Friday, with Saturday and Sunday coverage stretching from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET. There’s a catch, however: rather than roving from group to group, the coverage will be fixed on the 13th and 17th holes. This actually can be sort of interesting, as it offers the opportunity to observe how different golfers approach the same hole.
The 17th hole is the “Island Green,” one of the most recognizable holes on the PGA Tour. Stay tuned to that one if seeing shots in the water is your thing.
The Players Championship gets underway on Thursday as the field tees off at TPC Sawgrass for the first round. Stay with our Players Championship StoryStream for more on the tournament throughout the week. For everything golf, head over to SB Nation’s Waggle Room.
