The Barclays 2011: Leaderboard, Tee Times, TV Information For Friday

After almost one round of play at the 2011 Barclays, Harrison Frazar, Matt Kuchar and William McGirt have the clubhouse lead at 7-under-par, though only Frazar has actually finished his first round. 51 players, Kuchar and “Dirt” McGirt included, had their rounds suspended due to darkness at 7:38 p.m.

McGirt may be the most surprising Day 1 leader of the year for a confluence of three reasons: 1) His name is awesome. It makes me want to jump around in my underwear and rap backwards. 2) He’s a PGA tour rookie this year, and his best finish to date is a T-19 at the Mayakoba Golf Classic. 3) His 7-under score is in only 11 holes.

Play resumes Friday at 7:15 a.m. at Plainfield Country Club in Edison, N.J. The tournament is taking place with an ominous tone as Hurricane Irene careens toward the East Coast, set to crash into the Northeast late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

While the first round continues at 7:15, the second round will begin a half hour later. The PGA better hope they get it all done today, because after Irene blows through, this tournament may not be over until next Thursday.
