American Billy Horschel jumped up nine spots at the 2012 Frys.com Open Friday and now sits alone atop the leaderboard with an overall score of 10 under par.

Horschel logged a 6-under Friday with seven birdies including four on his last five holes. Horschel’s impressive efficiency included taking just 26 putts. He now has only 51 putts through the first two rounds.

Austraiian Nick O’Hern is now in second with an overall score of 9-under after he broke even Friday afternoon. He’s tied with Nicolas Colsaerts of Belgium who hit 14 greens in his 3-under second round.

Jonas Blixt, Charles Howell III and Jhonattan Vegas round out the top of the leaderboard in a tie for fourth with their overall scores of 8-under. Howell and Vegas are currently about a third of the way done with their round though so they could very well be at the top before the day ends.

It’s also worth noting that Frank Lickliter II has turned in the best round of the day so far at 7-under after racking up a remarkable nine birdies.
