American John Mallinger didn’t have the best of rounds Saturday afternoon, but he remains in first place at the 2012 Frys.com Open with an overall score of 15-under.

Mallinger registered three birdies against two bogeys on the day for a one-under 70. While this wasn’t quite up to the standards of his course-record 62 yesterday, Mallinger still has a two stroke lead on Jonas Blixt after the Swede’s five-under 66 on Saturday. If he is able to keep up this steady play in the final round, Mallinger could bring home his first career PGA Tour victory.

Rounding out the top five are Americans Charles Howell III and Jason Kokrak (-12) in a tie for third with Vijay Singh and Alexandre Rocha (-11) in a tie for fifth.

Behind those gentlemen there are five players with an overall score of 10-under, so we could be in store for an interesting Sunday.
