McGladrey Classic leaderboard: Bud Cauley on top, Marco Dawson plummets

Bud Cauley ended the second round of action at the McGladrey Classic with a one-shot lead, after beginning the day tied with Marco Dawson. Cauley was able to maintain some consistency Friday, shooting an even-par round. Dawson, however, plummeted with a +5 Friday and dropped down to the middle of leaderboard, tied for 31st with a 9-under par score.

Cauley had just one birdie on the day, at hole No. 7, but later bogeyed on 14. Outside of those situations, every hole was an even shot for the current leader. Dawson didn’t have a very good start to the day, double-bogeying the first hole, then more bogeys on No. 3, 9, 12 and 13. Dawson didn’t do better than par until the 5th hole, after he’d already dug a hole for himself.

When Cauley finished, three other golfers were just one shot behind him - Michael Thompson, Brian Gray, Steven Bowditch. Vijay Singh leads a crowd of five players two shots back.
