Rory McIlroy retained the No. 1 spot in the latest World Golf Rankings, which were updated on Monday morning. The top 10 remains the same as it was a week ago, with Tiger Woods, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood and Justin Rose rounding out the top five.

The top 10:

1. Rory McIlroy
2. Tiger Woods
3. Luke Donald
4. Lee Westwood
5. Justin Rose
6. Adam Scott
7. Webb Simpson
8. Bubba Watson
9. Brandt Snedeker
10. Jason Dufner

The top 10 includes three of the four major tournament winners of 2012 -- McIlroy won the PGA Championship, Watson won The Masters and Simpson won the U.S. Open. British Open winner Ernie Els is No. 24 in the world.

PGA Tour play resumes this weekend with the HSBC Champions tournament, which is being held in China. Neither McIlroy nor Woods are in the field, but several other members of the World Golf Rankings top 10 are playing, including Watson and Westwood.
