Justin Timberlake Shriners Open 2012 leaderboard: Ryan Moore early leader at 7-under par

American Ryan Moore leads the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at 7-under par thru eight holes.

The first round of the PGA Tour’s Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is under way at the TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, NV, and currently American Ryan Moore leads with an impressive 7-under par thru eight holes. Moore has poured in five brides and an eagle on the par-4 No. 15th Hole to earn a three-stroke lead over John Huh, who’s in second place.

Six other players including Nick Watney are in a tie for third place at 3-under par. 10 other golfers, including John Daly, are at 2-under par.

The field at the Shriners’ Open isn’t star studded, as Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson and Luke Donald are not playing. However, Team USA’s captain in the Ryder Cup, Davis Love III, is. Love will tee off at 12:13 p.m. ET with Australian Jason Day and American Kevin Na.

Other big names in the field are Rocco Mediate (12:32 p.m.) and Ricky Barnes (11:35).
