World Challenge 2012 leaderboard: Graeme McDowell and Nick Watney in the lead

Graeme McDowell is off to a good early start on Friday and has pulled even with Nick Watney at the top of the leaderboard for the 2012 World Challenge. Tiger Woods remains in striking distance.

Graeme McDowell is 3-under on the day and tied with Nick Watney at 6-under for the lead at the 2012 World Challenge at Sherwood Country Club in Sherman Oaks, Calif. McDowell and Watney hold a small lead over the rest of the field.

McDowell is 3-under through five holes on the day and Watney is 1-under through four holes after posting the low score on Thursday. McDowell birdied the first three holes of the day on Friday, before making par at four and five.

Bo Van Pelt sits in third place at 5-under for the tournament and 3-under for the day through five holes. Keegan Bradley and Jim Furyk are tied for fourth at 4-under for the tournament. Tiger Woods and Webb Simpson sit right behind them at 3-under.

After finishing Thursday in last place with a round of 75, 2012 FedEx Cup winner Brandt Snedeker is back to even, having gone 3-under through the first 10 holes on Friday.
