Ian Poulter shot a 65 in the final round, which was good enough to earn a two-shot win in the World Golf Championship HSBC Champions event.

Ian Poulter became the first Englishman to win two World Golf Championship events.

With the win in the final World Golf Championship event of the year, Poulter became the first Englishman to win two such events. He was also victorious in the 2010 WGC Accenture Match Play Championship.
Poulter finished two strokes ahead of Ernie Els, Jason Dufner, Scott Piercy and Phil Mickelson, who all tied for second place. Michelson had an opportunity to be in second by himself, but he missed a five-foot putt on the last hole to remain tied with the other three competitors.
Poulter shot back-to-back 65s on Saturday and Sunday to finish minus-21 for the tournament.
Lee Westwood finished tied for sixth place after he balanced his 61 on Saturday with a 72 in the final round.
The win for Poulter was his first victory in a strokeplay event since the 2010 Hong Kong Open.
