After a win in the WGC-HSBC Champions event in China, Ian Poulter rose 11 spots in the World Golf Rankings to No. 15.
World Golf Rankings 2012: Jason Dufner rises to No. 7
Ian Poulter moved to No. 15 in the World Golf Rankings after his win at the WGC-HSBC Champions event, while Jason Dufner is now at a career high No. 7 in the rankings

Poulter never shot a 70 in four rounds, winning by two strokes with a 21-under on the tournament after finishing with a pair of 7-under 65s. The 36-year-old Brit has been as high as No. 5 in the World Rankings, but its only his second PGA Tour win and first in a stroke-play event. He’s playing great golf right now, having won all four of the matches he participated in at the Ryder Cup as the European team rallied to win.
The rankings were also effected by four players who tied for second place at 19. Jason Dufner rose to No. 7 from No. 10 after shooting a 64 in the final round, tied for the highest he’s ever been placed. Phil Mickelson rose six spots from No. 19 to No. 13, while Ernie Els went from No. 24 to No. 20. Scott Piercy also finished in second, but only jumped to No. 41.
