Charlie Beljan has a three-stroke lead after firing an 8-under 64 in second-round action at the 2012 Children’s Miracle Network Classic.

Beljan fired an 8-under 64 in second-round action on Friday, giving the American a three-stroke lead over seven golfers tied for second place at 9-under. Australian Matt Jones posted the most notable second round of that group of seven golfers tied for second place, shooting an 8-under 64 to surge into contention. He’s joined by Ryuji Imada, Harris English, Charlie Wi, Charles Howard III, Mark Anderson and Henrik Stenson at 9-under.
Ten golfers are tied for ninth place at 8-under, including Camilo Villegas, Robert Garrigus, Kevin Streelman, Scott Stallings, Miguel Angel Carballo, Chris Stroud, Matt Every, Tommy Gainey, Daniel Chopra and Kevin Chappell. Villegas and Gainey struggled in second round play, following their 7-under 65s on Thursday with 1-under 71s on Friday.
