Rory McIlroy is still the world’s No. 1 golfer. Tiger Woods is the lone United States golfer in the latest top five.

Rory McIlroy retained the No. 1 spot in the World Golf Rankings this week, a position he has held for a significant portion of the year. Luke Donald remains No. 2, and Tiger Woods, Justin Rose and Louis Oosthuizen round out the top five.

Oosthuizen is one of the golfers who has made a significant climb up the rankings during the 2012 season -- at one point this year, he was No. 38 in the world. He improved his standing throughout the year, and a string of recent top-10 finishes, helped him crack the top 10 in the rankings.

McIlroy is coming off a victory at the DP World Tour Championship in late November, which helped to solidify his standing as the world’s top golfer.

Here is the current top 10:

1. Rory McIlroy
2. Luke Donald
3. Tiger Woods
4. Justin Rose
5. Louis Oosthuizen
6. Lee Westwood
7. Adam Scott
8. Bubba Watson
9. Jason Dufner
10. Brandt Snedeker
