John Senden has a two-stroke lead after the first round of play. Justin Rose is one of five golfers in a tie for second place.


One of those players tied for second is Justin Rose, who is ranked among the top five golfers in the world. World No. 7 Adam Scott is tied for 28th after an even-par round. Many of the big names in golf, like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, are not participating in this event.
Behind the group at -4 are three golfers at three under par. Eight players are -2, including Stuart Appleby, and there is a large group of golfers at one-under as well.
