Marcus Fraser fired his second straight 69 on Friday and holds a one-stroke lead over Brendan Jones and John Senden after two rounds at the 2012 Emirates Australian Open.

Marcus Fraser holds a one-stroke lead over Brendan Jones and John Senden after two rounds of the 2012 Emirates Australian Open.


Fraser had an up-and-down front nine, posting two birdies and two bogeys en route to an even-par 36. But he finished strong, notching three birdies on the back nine to finish with a 69 and -6 overall.
Jones was in line to end the day atop the leaderboard, but a double bogey on 16 dropped him back to -5. He finished with a 71.
Senden led going into the second round after firing a 66 on Thursday. Things did not go nearly as smooth on Friday, as a 73 dropped him into the tie for second.
Behind the top three, Nick Cullen sits in fourth after a second straight 70 put him at -4. There is a six-way tie for fifth at -3, which includes Justin Rose, the No. 4 player in the World Golf Rankings.
