Northern Trust Open 2012: Field Overtakes Phil Mickelson, Bill Haas Leads Through 10

Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley entered the final day of the 2012 Northern Trust Open tied at 7-under atop the leaderboard. Both players shot even through the front nine on Sunday, falling back into a three-way tie for second along with Jonathan Byrd. Bill Haas has taken over the top spot on the leaderboard, shooting 3-under through 10 holes to take a one-shot lead over the field.

Haas began Day 3 in sixth place at 5-under, but three birdies have made him one of the day’s biggest movers so far. Mickelson appeared to be cruising early on with birdies on holes one and five, but he bogeyed the last two of the front nine to stem his run. Bradley has been much more erratic, shooting plus-2 with three bogeys through five before coming back with birdies on holes seven and nine.

Sergio Garcia leads the round, shooting 8-under through 15 holes. He has moved into a four-way tie for fifth place at 6-under for the tournament.
