Tiger Woods won the Arnold Palmer Invitational by five strokes over the weekend, easily legging out his first PGA tour win since 2009 and instantly becoming a serious threat on the Masters 2012 odds menu.

Not scared of tigers? Sportsbooks are in the wake of Tiger Woods’ first PGA win in more than two years. His 2012 Masters odds were chopped in half and the money is still coming.
Sportsbooks chopped Tiger’s Master odds in half and money was still pouring in on him, with the Masters less than two weeks away.
”The golf betting public never ended its love affair with Tiger Woods and sportsbooks have been taking advantage of that since he began his comeback,” said Jack Randall of OddsShark.com.
“Now the tables are turned - Tiger looked sharp and betting lines are getting hammered. If he wins, it could be a massive payday for bettors and an expensive day for sportsbooks.”
It’s a dangerous situation for sportsbooks and for fellow PGA players. World No. 1 Rory McIlroy had been the Masters favorite, but now he is 9/2 odds, just behind Tiger at 7/2.
In addition to Masters betting, the odds on Tiger winning a Major in 2012 also shortened. But while some Tiger Lottery bettors have thrown longshot money on him to win two or three Majors (three is 33/1), sportsbooks still don’t think he will win even one.
“Even though Tiger Woods was still our second favorite behind Rory McIlroy to win the Masters going into the Arnold Palmer Invitational, after his win yesterday his odds dropped in half from 7-1 to 7-2,” said Kevin Bradley of Bovada Sportsbook.
