In the second round of the 2012 Masters in Augusta on Friday, Peter Hanson did not get off to the best of starts. He double-bogeyed on the very first hole of his second round and dropped out of his positioning just behind Lee Westwood’s 5-under. He came roaring back over his next three holes, with a birdie on each of them. He is now tied with Westwood at 5-under through four holes.

Westwood has been wholly unable to pad his lead through six holes as he is shooting par thus far on Friday.

Rory McIlroy, one of the favorites to win the green jacket, has picked up some ground on the leaders. McIlroy had back-to-back birdies on holes three and four and is now tied for fifth place at 3-under through five holes.
