2012 Masters Leaderboard Update: Tiger Woods More or Less Losing His Mind

The struggles have gotten more and more intense for Tiger Woods at Augusta, and it’s starting to border on insanity. First we had the ball that barely didn’t hit a hazard off an ill-fated shot to the green, then the pitch into the gallery, then his brief foray into the world of soccer after a wayward teeshot on a par-3.

Now Tiger is three-over par - while his partner, Miguel Angel Jimenez, coasts along at two off the lead at three-under - after a bogey on the 16th.

Woods managed to save par during his trip into the gallery on the 15th, but he was shaken. His tee shot on the par-3 16th went well off on the right into a bunker, and in an attempt to save the hole with a shot from the bunker went awry as his shot had enough pace to dribble off the green and nearly into water. Instead of a par, he bogeyed out the hole.

Woods is still not really in danger of missing the cut - he’d need to drop two strokes over his last two holes - but it’s going to take a miracle for him to contend for the lead.
