2012 Masters Leaderboard Update: Tiger Woods Finishes Second Round at 3-Over

A bad day for Tiger Woods came to an equally bad finish, as Woods hit a bunker on his 18th to bogey and ended up 3-over, two off the cut line, but eight off the lead. Meanwhile, his partner, Miguel Angel Jimenez, finished just two strokes off the lead with a 3-under.

Woods struggled all day long in pretty much every facet of his game. His tee shots had a tendency to trail towards the left, his irons seemed to find every possible bunker as he found himself constantly needing great pitches to save par, and his putting game was just about the worst Tiger has ever played. Woods constantly missed short putts and hit the fewest greens - seven - that he’s ever hit in a round at the Masters.

It would take an epic rebound for Tiger to contend at Augusta. After his first win in a long time two weeks ago, Woods seemed to have his game on track. But today, one of the greatest golfers in the history of the sport showed he still had basic issues with his mechanics that prevented him from scoring amongst the leaders. Today was hard to watch for Tiger fans - he’s a long way from his former dominant ways.
