The Players Championship 2012: Tiger Woods Rinses On No. 4, Scuffling Through Front 9

The final round of the The Players Championship is underway and Tiger Woods continues to have a rough weekend. After he stalled out with a ho-hum 72 on moving day, Woods is scuffling through the front nine on Sunday. Woods is four over through the first eight holes, dumping one in the water on No. 4 resulting in a double bogey. It was yet another stunning example of just how far his iron game has fallen, simply dunking it in the drink from the middle of the fairway.

Woods started his day with a bogey five at the first, but quickly got it back with a birdie on the second. His round went off the rails with the double, however, and he quickly followed that up with another bogey at No. 6. He then yanked his tee shot on the par-three eighth hole and could not get up-and-down to save par. At two over for the championship, he is now 14 shots back of leader Kevin Na. The Washington Post’s Barry Svrluga sums up his day so far, via @barrysvrluga:
