There are some big names who just missed the cut line at the close of the second day of the 2012 U.S. Open. The cut line could wind up being 8-over, which could be enough to save some some big-time players such as Phil Mickelson as the Top 60 players (including ties) hope to head to the third round of the tournament. Mickelson potentially saved himself rebounding on the second day, shooting a 72 and picking up a birdie on the final hole.

Some names who may not make the cut include 2012 Masters Champion Bubba Watson, who finished up with a 9-over after the first two rounds, really struggling in the second round shooting a 77. Y.E. Yang also bombed on the second day, falling 21 spots from where he finished in the first round and finishing at 9-over.
Rickie Fowler currently sits at 8-over after the first two rounds, following up his 72 on the first day with a 76 on Friday, potentially just barely making the cut. While it was a nice story to start the U.S. Open, 14-year-old Andy Zhang struggled on both days and finished the tournament at 16-over, likely missing the cut by quite a bit.
