Tiger Woods is tied for the lead heading into the third round of the 2012 U.S. Open and he enters Saturday as the heavy betting favorite.
U.S. Open Golf Odds 2012: Tiger Woods Is The Heavy Favorite
Tiger Woods is the heavy betting favorite heading into the third round of the U.S. Open.


Prior to Thursday’s first round, Woods was a 6-1 favorite. After he shot a 1-under 69 in the first round, Woods moved to a 9-4 favorite. Now, Woods heads into the weekend as the overwhelming favorite at 5-6. Jim Furyk, who is tied for first place with Woods and David Toms, is the second favorite at 5-1. Toms is third at 10-1 with Graeme McDowell fourth at 15-1.
Phil Mickelson, who enters the third round tied for 51st place at 7-over, is a 100-1 favorite entering the weekend. First-round leader Michael Thompson is a 60-1 favorite.
