2012 U.S. Open Golf: Tiger Woods 2-Over Through 4 Holes, Jim Furyk Leads

It’s been a rough start to the day for Tiger Woods, especially around the greens, but he’s hitting the ball straight off the tee and he trails the lead by just one stroke after four holes of play. Woods has recorded a couple of bogeys in his first four holes and it looks like he’s having a bit of trouble accounting for the slower greens, but he played the fourth hole well en route to a par.

Tiger dropped shots on the first and third holes of the course, which have been playing tough all day. He’s starting to come into a much more playable portion of the course and, if his fourth hole is any indication, he’s getting a feel for the speed of the greens.

The leader of the tournament is his playing partner in the final group of the day, Jim Furyk. He hasn’t been flawless through his first four holes either, but has just one bogey and sits alone in the lead at even par.
