Phil Mickelson may be preparing for the British Open this week, but before the four-time major champion left for England, he visited the ESPN SportCenter set to coach anchor Scott Van Pelt on the proper techniques for delivering the news.

After sharing tips for proper posture and delivery (“Imagine a little string pulling your head up. You’re holding a towel under your armpits. Eyes on the teleprompter. Don’t look up to see the highlight, look through the highlight.”), Lefty -- spoofing golf coaches everywhere -- tells Van Pelt to “forget everything I just said. Just be yourself.”
