The weather at Royal Lytham & St. Annes was expected to be a huge factor this week at the British Open, but the conditions are once again benign so far during Saturday’s third round.
British Open Leaderboard: Bubba Watson Trying To Make A Move
The scoring, however, is pretty steady, with few golfers in the morning wave posting low numbers to make a charge on moving day. It will be extremely difficult to duplicate a score like the 64 we saw from Brandt Snedeker on Saturday, and that’s likely what it will take to move into contention with he and Adam Scott several shots clear of the field.
Bubba Watson is one person hoping to make a move and give himself a chance on Sunday. The 2012 Masters Champion is 3-under through his first ten holes, the lowest red number on the course today. Watson has carded four birdies and is one of only 17 players under par today. He will have to and try pick up a few more on the more difficult inward nine and hope that the leaders come back to the field this afternoon.
