It’s not often that a PGA Tour event that follows a major boasts a reputable field, but this week’s RBC Canadian Open has just that.

To be hosted at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Ancaster, Ontario, this year’s Canadian Open will feature the 2012 British Open champion Ernie Els, 2012 U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson along with notables Jim Furyk, Hunter Mahan, Matt Kuchar, Vijay Singh and Brandt Snedeker.

So what are these guys up against?

Despite being a par-70 under 7,000 yards, there’s 87 bunkers, lots of trees and small greens to contend with, so putting the ball in the fairway off the tee will be imperative.

With difficult par-3s and just few par-5s, golfers must also be sharp on these short holes to stay in contention.

Coverage of the RBC Canadian Open begins Thursday on The Golf Channel from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. ET. They’ll follow up on Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. ET and CBS will carry weekend coverage, from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Some key first-round parings are as follows:

7:30 a.m. - John Daly, David Duval, John Mallinger

8:20 a.m. - Ben Curtis, Charl Schwartzel, Jim Furyk

1:10 p.m. - Ernie Els, Matt Kuchar, Vijay Singh

1:20 p.m. - Hunter Mahan, Sean O’Hair, Mike Weir
