Greenbrier Classic 2012: Jonathan Byrd, Charlie Beljan Tied For Lead

As the second round of the 2012 Greenbrier Classic has now entered the afternoon groupings, Jonathan Byrd and Charlie Beljan are sitting comfortably in the lead at 8-under after completing their morning rounds.

Byrd began his second round with a birdie on the par-4 opening hole and another on no. 7 to put pressure on first-round leader Vijay Singh. Byrd would then fall back slightly after three bogies in his next four holes, but bounced back with another birdie on No. 12. He would record two additional birdies on holes 15 and 18 en route to a 2-under 68 in his second round.

Beljan may have had the round of the tournament after firing a scorching 8-under 62 on Friday, catapulting himself into a tie with Byrd on top of the leaderboard. His round included nine birdies in total with his only bogey coming at the par-4 no. 9 hole.
