Scott Langley is the leader at the 2013 Sony Open after he shot an opening round 62 to finish at 8-under par. Langley shot a bogey-free round that included six birdies and an eagle. His birdie on the par-4, 18th gave him the tournament lead by a stroke over Russell Henley.

Scott Langley fired an 8-under, 62 to take a one stroke lead at the end of the first round of the 2013 Sony Open.


Henley nearly matched Langley stroke for stroke recording eight birdies while shooting a 7-under, 63. His lone blemish came on a bogey at No. 11. Scott Piercy and and Tim Clark are two shots back at 6-under while Jeff Overton and Stephen Ames are three back. Charles Howell III and Matt Kuchar are among a group of nine golfers who are four shots back at 4-under.
Langley is fresh out of the Qualifying school and is best known for having made the cut at the 2010 U.S. Open. He turned pro in 2011.
