Hyundai Tournament of Champions 2013 odds: Matt Kuchar the favorite

Last year’s winner, Steve Stricker, also has high odds to win the PGA Tour’s opening event.

Matt Kuchar is expected to pick up right where he left off.

Kuchar, 34, won The Players Championship last season. Now, he’s the favorite to win the Hyundai Tournament of Champions -- the first PGA Tour event of the new year. The Hyundai Tournament of Champions starts Thursday at Plantation Course in Hawaii.

Kuchar is a 10/1 favorite, according to Bovada. Ian Poulter and Jason Dufner have the second-best odds for the tournament, checking in at 12/1.

Steve Stricker, who won last year’s opening tournament in Hawaii, is at 16/1.
