2013 Farmers Insurance Open suspended with Tiger in control

Play has been suspended for the night at Torrey Pines with Tiger Woods holding a six-stroke lead. Here’s a look at the action from Sunday.

As the sun set in La Jolla, Ca. on Sunday night, Tiger Woods headed to the clubhouse sitting at 17-under at the 2013 Farmers Insurance Open, leading the field after play was suspended for the night. Through seven holes in the final round, Woods sits six strokes ahead of Brandt Snedeker and Nick Watney in his quest for his 75th PGA Tour title.

Rain and fog have slowed down the tournament so far, leaving everyone to prepare for a delayed finish. Woods sits at three-under par for the final round. After posting three-consecutive rounds under 70, he’s looking like he will run away with this one. Snedeker shot four-under par through 13 holes, but it appears to be too little, too late for any shot at catching Tiger.

Tee shots weren’t exactly pretty for Woods down the stretch on Sunday, but his short game and a few impressive chip shots have him sitting firmly in control.

Play is set to resume at 4:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon, with Golf Channel and CBS providing the coverage.

Here’s a look at the current leaderboard.

1) Tiger Woods, -17

T2) Brandt Snedeker, -11

T2) Nick Watney, -11

4) Brad Fritsch, -9

T5) Luke Guthrie, -8

T5) Josh Teater, -8

T5) Eric Compton, -8

T5) Steve Marino, -8

T5) Casey Wittenberg, -8
