Hyundai Tournament of Champions 2013: Poulter “slapping it” around this week

Ian Poulter has apparently had a busy Christmas holiday leading up to this week’s season-opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

Ian Walton

You probably shouldn’t pick Ian Poulter for your fantasy golf team this week. Just ask Ian Poulter.

During (another) recent Twitter regurgitation earlier in the week, Poulter let his followers know that he’ll be taking it easy this week in Kapaula at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. The reason? Apparently, he’s had a rather “busy” holiday season.

Every guy has the right to some down time during the holidays. You know; spend time with the family, watch a few sporting events, maybe have an egg nog or seven.

Fans are not accustomed to seeing a half-hazard Poulter on the golf course, however, and the Hawaiian faithful would probably prefer him to be in top form this week. That is, of course, if he even has golf clubs to play in the tournament.

Don’t ever change, Ian.
