With driving wind and rain suspending play in the Hyundai Tournament of Champions on Saturday, players were expected to fit 18 holes in on Sunday followed by a 36 hole finish on Monday. Although the rain relented, the wind didn’t and tour officials were forced to call the players in for the second consecutive day.

The tournament could be looking at a Tuesday finish.

Players were able to fit about an hour in before tour officials called a stop to play with balls being blown off tees and across greens. The PGA Tour’s vice president of rules and competition Slugger White said wind gusts of nearly 50 miles per hour forced the tour to call off play.
A Tuesday finish is looking more likely after two days have been suspended due to weather. The weather forecast is looking better for the Kapalua Resort on the Hawaiian island of Maui on Monday. Winds are expected to top out around 20 miles per hour with a 30 percent chance of rain. The weather has kept players from completing even one round of the three round tournament.
