The Presidents Cup will play catch-up again on Sunday morning, trying to finish up four matches that were suspended Saturday night as darkness fell at Muirfield Village. There have been significant rain delays, totaling more than five hours, in each of the first three days of competition this week. The Tour was already up against it yesterday trying to finish four Foursomes matches at the crack of dawn, and then complete 10 more matches over two sessions for sun-up to sun-down golf. But a midday delay ensured things would carry over to Sunday.
2013 Presidents Cup: Tee times, pairings, match schedule for Sunday
With more inclement weather in the forecast, the Tour will try to finish up four leftover Foursomes matches from Saturday and then launch 12 singles matches all bright and early on Sunday morning.
The last four Foursomes matches will resume at 7:35 a.m. ET on Sunday. The last match is currently on the 10th hole, as Matt Kuchar and Tiger Woods begin the back nine 1-down to the International pair of Brendon de Jonge and Ernie Els. Here’s where all four of those Saturday Foursomes matches are out on the course:
| Match Progress | International Pairing | USA Pairing |
| USA wins, 4&3 | Marc Leishman & Richard Sterne | Jason Dufner & Zach Johnson |
| All Square thru 13 | Jason Day & Graham DeLaet | Phil Mickelson & Keegan Bradley |
| INTL 3up thru 12 | Louis Oosthuizen & Charl Schwartzel | Webb Simpson & Brandt Snedeker |
| USA 2up thru 10 | Adam Scott & Hideki Matsuyama | Steve Stricker & Bill Haas |
| INTL 2up thru 9 | Ernie Els & Brendon de Jonge | Matt Kuchar & Tiger Woods |
So those matches will resume at 7:35 ET, but by 8 a.m., the captains for each team will set the order and matchups for the originally scheduled 12 Sunday singles matches.
Presidents Cup and PGA Tour officials are then planning to start the singles matches about an hour after the pairings announcement, with the first tee time approximately at 9 a.m. ET. There will then be 12 one-on-one matches going off the first tee in about 11-minute intervals, trying to get one team to 17.5 points on another day where rain is possible.
