2014 PGA Tour Money List: Chris Kirk leaps into top 5 with win at McGladrey Classic

Chris Kirk is in the top five of the 2014 PGA Tour Money List after eking by Briny Baird to win the McGladrey Classic on Sunday. Kirk was No. 71 last week.

Chris Kirk made a huge leap into the top five of the 2014 PGA Tour Money List after winning the McGladrey Classic on Sunday. Kirk was No. 71 on the list last week, but won $990,000 of a $5.5 million purse to slot No. 5 this week, one spot behind Webb Simpson and one spot ahead of Ian Poulter.

Briny Baird was the leader at the McGladrey Classic entering the final day, but collapsed late to tie for second place with Tim Clark. Though Baird fell short of securing his first career PGA Tour win, he still took home a hefty paycheck to land at No. 10 on the money list this week. He was No. 85 last week. Clark fell just outside the top 10 at No. 12 after showing up at No. 92 last week.

The rest of the top 10 was reslotted accordingly following the leaps made by Kirk and Baird. Ryan Moore is still No. 1 atop the list, followed by Dustin Johnson and Jimmy Walker.
