2014 Official World Golf Rankings: Top 10 unchanged, with Tiger Woods on top

With the 2014 PGA season still in its proto stages, there has been relatively little shakeup in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings in recent weeks. This week’s ranking looks exactly like last week’s, with Tiger Woods nestled in the top spot despite being several weeks removed from his last exemplary performance. Woods’ lead is comfortable, with Adam Scott nearly 150 points behind.

Woods did post a valiant comeback attempt at the Turkish Airlines Open this past weekend. He posted a 63 on Friday to shoot up the leaderboard, and played the final two days in one of the final two groupings, but he ultimately finished four shots behind winner Victor Dubuisson, who checked in at No. 39 on the rankings this week.

Scott did gain a few points on Woods by winning the Australian PGA Championship over Rickie Fowler, though he will need to start winning bigger tournaments if he truly wants to eat into Woods’ lead. Scott and Fowler were easily the two biggest names in the field.
