Honda Classic officials announced Tuesday that noted golf enthusiast (and private jet owner) Tiger Woods has committed to play in the tournament, which runs February 28 - March 3.
Honda Classic 2013: Tiger Woods returns to PGA National
Following an announcement on Tuesday, Tiger Woods has committed to playing the 2013 Honda Classic at PGA National.

Woods played in the 2012 event and finished runner-up behind Rory McIlroy, losing by two shots despite firing a stellar 62 in his final round. McIlroy has already committed to defend his title earlier in the month. The event will mark the first time both men will compete against one another on the PGA Tour under the NIKE Golf umbrella. It’ll be really cute.
Having the top two players in the World Golf Rankings in the Honda field will surely garner a ton of attention to the event, especially considering the last time both men played in the same tournament. Woods and McIlroy competed in the European Tour’s Abu Dhabi Championship, at which both men missed the tournament cut.
Other notables already committed to playing the Honda Classic include Lee Westwood, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose and Louis Oosthuizen.
